I’m willing to bet, for those who have been involved with network marketing for a while has probably had to deal with learning usable mlm lead generation techniques. It’s a proven fact that without leads, or simply having enough people to talk to, your business is dead in the water.This means that without leads, it will not matter that you love your company and feel they have the best products in the world. If you have no one to share it with, your message simply dissipates into thin air.

The biggest problem that people have when trying to generate leads for their business, is not necessarily in the generation itself, but rather in the generation of the right type of leads. See, despite what your upline or company is telling you, everyone is not your target market. That is why trying to convince your Uncle Bob that your new super juice mlm is the best thing since slice bread may not work if all he wants to know is whether it’s “some kinda pyramid scheme?” It’s also why using the three foot rule and accosting strangers on the street is more likely to get you kicked off of the property as opposed to signups.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that recruiting in your warm market is a bad idea, it simply means you should look for the right kinds of people in that market. However, it’s just not your most effective avenue of lead generation.

Therefore, you need to learn how to go after a group of people who are already sold on the idea of not only network marketing, but of being an entrepreneur. We are in an industry that is about creating a better future for those involved, not about giving people a job. Many of the people that you come into contact are going to have a very employee mindset meaning they believe that if you simply work harder you’ll be rewarded. In reality, especially in today’s shaky global economy, it’s really about working smarter.

So you should focus on finding the people who are comfortable with the idea of being in business for themselves, that are capable of working independently, and that are able to see the big picture. This could mean that you may want to target people who have already been involved in a network marketing company since they are clearly already sold on the idea. Or maybe someone in a commission based sales position such as real estate, because they are good with people and understand the idea of networking to make a sale.

Also, try to remember that you are essentially going into business with these people, so choose people you wouldn’t mind working with. You wouldn’t want to work with someone whom you have nothing in common with or that you don’t get along with do you? So take the time to think about who you want to work with, what characteristics those people have, and then find where those people hang out. Once you do that, you’ll be able to skyrocket your mlm lead generation abilities and become a master recruiter!
