Is Free Article Content Good for Article Marketing?
There are webmasters that want to try free content to nab visitors to their site to pull in money. This is mostly essential for those who have just started working as an affiliate for various companies and do not yet have any funding, yet need to built small niche websites for visitors to their site so that they can set about making revenue.
While this can be the only means now and again, it really is not the way to go about building a site effectively. There are a few likely reasons why this may be counterproductive to your business building endeavors.
Problem #1 – Search Engines
The search engine spiders spurn duplicate material. The more web sites that share your content, the less it will help you accomplish good search engine rankings.
If you wish to get a lot of people to your site then you need to have good rankings on the search engine. To get traffic you need to learn SEO rules and stick with them to raise your placing.
Problem #2 – Getting visitors to click
While getting your site high on search engine result pages and developing site visitors is tough work, unfortunately this is only half of the battle because you must also be in a position to get those visitors to click on your affiliate links. Your visitors are not dumb, if they get to your web site and read subject matter they have seen in other places they are going to be less inclined to use your links. There are two reasons for this: they want to be able to trust the person they are trading with and they want to consider that person is adept.
If your content is just replicated from other web sites, you will be exhibited as someone who does not really know what they are talking about and consequently will not look heavily on your product recommendations. This will lessen the number of visitors that actually click on the links you have, which means you will lose money.
Problem #3 – Author Bylines
Most free content is simply given to you if you agree to place the authors byline under the article (you can get into trouble if you try to use it without adopting the stipulated rules). The issue here is that most authors include a link in their signature files. That means when the reader completes reading the content there is a strong possibility that they are going to click on the link of the source. Many authors employ their free content as a technique to get visitors to their website, which is why their byline includes a link. Free content can result in you losing potential customers when people click the authors link over your affiliate link.
When you use these factors you will see the serious issue with a decline in income when you use free content. While it may be the only alternative for some, if you have the funds to buy your own unique written material, then you must go this route. If you really do not have the funds, you might want to consider trying your own hand at composing written material and then hire a specialist once you establish a profit.
